About Anime Park Nijigen no Mori

A Nature‐Based Anime Theme Park

Nijigen no Mori is a purely Japanese anime park that opened in 2017 at the Prefectural Awaji Island Park, offering a novel attraction experience.

Utilizing the latest technology, Nijigen no Mori features fantastical attractions that create the illusion of stepping into an anime, manga or movie, along with attractions that brilliantly recreate the anime and manga worlds, making it a hugely popular spot on Awaji Island for all ages.

As of 2023, the park features four permanent attractions: "Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park", "NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-Zato", "Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji", and "Dragon Quest Island" (which opened in 2021 and was renewed in March 2023).

Each attraction is so extensive that it’s nearly impossible to experience them all in one day, making it a recommended destination not only for anime fans but also for those looking to engage in active outdoor fun.

In recent years, it has attracted many inbound visitors, thanks in part to its appeal of being enjoyable regardless of language barriers.

Reimagining Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park by Harnessing Its Majestic Nature

Situated within the sprawling Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park, which boasts an area equivalent to 28 Tokyo Domes, Nijigen no Mori was created as part of an initiative to revitalize the region by attracting new tourists and combining Japan’s manga and anime content industries, taking advantage of the park’s majestic natural environment.

In 2013, the "Awaji Manga & Anime Island Project" proposed by the Pasona Group was selected in a public call by Hyogo Prefecture for private ventures in the Prefectural Awaji Island Park. Born from this initiative, the facility continually attracts visits from companies and municipalities aiming to rejuvenate the park.

Visitors to Nijigen no Mori contribute to the revitalization of the Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park.

It is an anime park offering a unique experience that stands apart from typical urban amusement parks or theme parks.

Introduction to a Variety of Attractions

Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park

The gigantic obstacle course consists of four courses of varying heights, with the most advanced course reaching approximately 8 meters, offering a thrilling experience even for adults. During the activity, participants naturally communicate and bond, fostering team building and a sense of accomplishment and unity.

Additionally, the zip line, which glides over a pond in the park, offers a natural course that you can ride twice (round trip). It provides a refreshing thrill rather than fear, making it an attraction that children can enjoy too.

Additionally, there is admission available for Futaba Kindergarten and a fun Haunted House, catering to younger children and preschoolers.
