Nojima Scuola was born from the renovation of a closed elementary school on Awaji Island.
It has also gained attention as a hub for community interaction, hosting an annual summer festival with active participation from local residents, regular choir classes, and more.
This popular tourist facility brings together experiences that let you enjoy the charm of Awaji Island with all five senses — from authentic Italian cuisine supervised by a chef selected as one of the "World's Top 1,000 Chefs," to a marché featuring freshly harvested vegetables and hands-on encounters with animals.
We offer plans that can be enjoyed by all ages, including company trips, corporate training, and group lunches for school excursions.

The Pinnacle of Local Gastronomy
Authentic Italian cuisine crafted by Chef Masayuki Okuda, selected as one of the "World's Top 1,000 Chefs." We serve course meals generously featuring fresh vegetables, seafood, and Awaji beef sourced directly from Awaji Island producers.
Chef Okuda's philosophy is to "let the ingredients shine." To bring out the best in Awaji Island's proud vegetables, seafood, and Awaji beef — ingredients from the island historically known as Miketsukuni (the land that supplied food to the Imperial Court) — the Italian dishes are finished with minimal sauce and simple seasoning.
